Background:
As a state affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the mission of the Connecticut Association for the Education of Young Children (CTAEYC) is to enhance the care, education, and development of Connecticut's young children, in the context of family and community; and to support the professionals who care for them. CTAEYC provides training to increase the competencies of professionals and promotes them through support and advocacy activities. CTAEYC achieves this by promoting a strong local affiliate structure, the development of leadership skills, and the coordination of informed advocacy dedicated to improving the quality of services for young children and their families.

Conference Theme:   ... one child at a time.
2020 was a time of changes and challenges.  We adapted in 2021, and now in 2022 we are truly living our new normal.  Our focus this year is on the individual.  We know that children are brilliant at adapting to the world in which they live, but the past 18+ months have been exponentially hard.  This year, we will focus on how we are building brains, helping to shape the future, and changing the world ... one child at a time.

● Supporting an Anti-Biased & Culturally Diverse Environment
