Who We Are

The Greater New Haven Regional Chapter of the

Connecticut Association for the Education of Young Children

(GNHRC of CTAEYC) is a professional organization dedicated to

supporting early childhood educators, families, and advocates in our community.

We are committed to enhancing the quality of early childhood education

through professional development, advocacy, and networking opportunities.

Our mission is to support early childhood professionals in the

Greater New Haven area by offering high-quality professional development, strengthening connections within the early childhood community, and advocating for policies that benefit young children and families.

We are committed to making early childhood education more accessible

and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

Our Mission

Get Involved

We invite early childhood educators, advocates, and community members

to join us in our efforts to strengthen the field.

Whether through attending professional development events, joining a
committee, or sharing your expertise, your involvement makes a difference!

We collaborate with the CTAEYC Public Policy Committee to monitor legislative and administrative policy developments that affect young children, their families, early childhood educators and early care professionals, on the local, state, national and international level.

We strive to keep the general membership informed of policy developments mentioned above by written notices, email, telephone calls, and through membership mailings, as well as announcements at membership meetings.

We collaborate with the CTAEYC Public Policy Committee to take responsibility for developing position statements, submitting testimony at public hearings, and participating in debates and meetings pertaining to public policy issues relevant to the Greater New Haven Region Chapter of CTAEYC and consistent with our goals and ideals.
