We are excited to announce the Platform Academy series as part of our CT Early Childhood Professional Development Platform, which looks to strengthen the functions of early childhood, specifically Family Child Care (FCC) Providers as well as providers of Infant and Toddler (I/T) Care, through professional development webinars.

Decades of research indicate that the early years of life are a period of exponential brain development, characterized by great opportunity and vulnerability, dependent on the relationships and environment in which the child is growing. The Goal for our time together is to understand the stages and types of play that unfold in early childhood, the role of the brain in this process, and how to maximize children’s learning through play. We will learn about the development of play, the core skills children develop through their play and how to promote these skills. Everyday play in any setting is critical to optimal brain development. Come and learn some points to ponder for your next play activity. Presented in English with Spanish translation.
